A message from the mayor as restrictions on businesses are lifted (August 17th, 2020)
As of August 17th, restaurants may resume normal business hours and businesses offering entertainment are no longer requested to stay closed. However, this does not mean that the situation is resolved. The emergency warning continues to be in place within the prefecture. Refraining from unnecessary travels outside the prefecture, keeping social events and dinners to low numbers while practicing the “New normal" is the need of the hour. Public facilities in Kobayashi City are to reopen from August 17th, 2020.
・Touristic facilities (lodging/hot springs), some cultural facilities
Business will be conducted as usual. (People coming from areas with high infection rates are asked to stay away)
・Sports facilities, community and convention centers
Access will be limited to people residing in the Nishimoro area (Kobayashi, Ebino, Takaharu)
・Natural (river) parks etc.
No restrictions in place
With regard to using these facilities, preventive measures such as, avoiding the “Three C's", washing and disinfecting your hands and thorough ventilation need to be abided by.
I am kindly asking for your support in these difficult times.
