Volcanic Eruption Warning Update: Mt. Iohyama

 On April 18, 2019 the volcanic eruption level of Mt. Iohyama has been lowered from level 2 to 1 on a scale of 5 by the Japan Meteorological Agency, but the mountain peak will remain off-limit until the safety confirmed. 

 As a result, many hiking trails around Mt. Shinmoedake remain closed until further notice. However, between Mt. Karakunidake and Mt. Shishikodake hiking trail has been re-opened.
